How that works

Every calculation on this site runs inside your browser, in JavaScript, on your own machine. There is no calculation API. There is no server that receives your figures, because we did not build one — so there is nothing to leak, subpoena, or breach. You can verify this yourself: open your browser’s network tab, fill in any calculator, and watch that no request carries your numbers. Or turn off your network entirely after the page loads; the tools keep working.

What we do not do

• We do not transmit, log or store your financial inputs — no calculator figure ever leaves your browser.
• We do not have user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to lose.
• We do not run session replay, and we do not record what you type.
• We do not load any analytics unless you accept it, and we never load a script that could read your form fields.
• We do not sell your data or build a profile of you.

What we do collect

If — and only if — you accept the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to count page views, so we can see which tools people find useful. It records the pages you visit (for example /tools/paye-calculator), sets a cookie to recognise a returning browser, and collects the standard data Google Analytics gathers, such as an approximate location and the site you arrived from.

It never sees the figures you type. Those are computed on your device and are never put into a web address, so a recorded page view is just the route — never a salary, a turnover or any other number you entered. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded: no script, no cookie, no request. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your data below, which resets the banner.

Storage on your device

Some tools can save a draft so your figures survive a refresh. That is off unless you turn it on, it uses your browser’s own local storage, and it never travels anywhere. Your light/dark preference is stored the same way. You can wipe all of it here:

NDPA 2023

The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 governs the processing of personal data in Nigeria. Your financial data is not processed by us at all — it never reaches us. The one thing we do process is Google Analytics’ page-view data, and only after you consent; consent is the lawful basis, which is why nothing loads until you accept, and why declining leaves no cookie and no record. You can withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, using the “Clear my data” button above, which removes the analytics cookie and resets the banner.

Why we built it this way

Because you would not use it otherwise, and you would be right not to. Payroll and salary data is exactly what people are unwilling to paste into a website they do not know. Making the computation client-side removes the question rather than answering it.
