Payroll / PAYE bulk calculator
PAYE for every employee on your payroll, what you remit by the 10th, and what the payroll actually costs you as an employer.
Your payroll file is never uploaded
When you choose a CSV, your browser reads it and this page does the arithmetic on your own machine. The file is not sent anywhere. There is no upload endpoint on this site to send it to, and there never will be one — names, salaries and PAYE for your whole staff are exactly the kind of data that should not be sitting on someone else's server. Close the tab and it is gone.
Your payroll data never leave your device. This calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, logged, or stored — there is no server to send it to.
Your payroll
Read in your browser. Up to 5,000 employees. Not sure of the columns? Take the template.
Applies to basic, housing, transport, allowances and bonus, in the grid and in your CSV alike. Rent is always the full year's rent — entering a month's rent here is how people accidentally claim twelve times the relief.
Your business
Leave blank to use the 1 employee in your data.
ITF applies at ₦50,000,000 of turnover or 5 employees, whichever comes first.
Upload a payroll CSV or type an employee into the grid below. Your PAYE remittance, employer costs and a per-employee breakdown appear here.
Your payroll
Every cell is editable. Press Working on a row to see that employee's full derivation.
What an employee costs you beyond their salary
PAYE is your employees' money, not yours — you deduct it and remit it. What actually costs you is the employer pension contribution at 10%, NSITF at 1% of payroll, and ITF at 1% once you pass 5 employees or ₦50,000,000 of turnover. That ITF trigger is a cliff, not a slope: the fifth hire brings a levy on your whole payroll, not on that one salary.
Common questions
- Is my payroll data uploaded anywhere?
- No. The whole calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you paste or upload — names, salaries, the CSV file — leaves your device or is sent to any server. There is no calculation API by design.
- How much does an employer pay towards pension?
- The employer pension contribution is 10% of qualifying pay, on top of the employee's own 8%. It is an employer cost, separate from the PAYE deducted from staff.
- What are NSITF and ITF contributions?
- NSITF (the employee compensation scheme) is charged at 1% of payroll, and the ITF training levy at 1%, both employer costs. The ITF applies where headcount is at least 5 or turnover reaches ₦50,000,000.
